Margarita experienced symptoms of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) for 10 years before she was diagnosed in 2011. Along with the support of her family, doctors, and medication, Margarita’s headstrong, take-charge attitude became essential in order to cope with PAH. Margarita led an active life, but her ability to exercise was impeded by her symptoms. However, she has begun to explore other hobbies and enjoys painting and traveling. She is eager to provide insights to others who are diagnosed with pulmonary arterial hypertension.
